Are there any contests? What do they entail?
For the full Convention, we have Wacky Races, Speed Build and Master Build contests (several varieties), Dirty Brickster, Draft, and more.
For the Public Exhibition, we have Door Prize (free) raffle drawings. There may be un-announced contests that the public will be welcome to participate. Visit the Exhibition (Sat, Oct 4th, and Sun, Oct 5th) for details.
Wacky Races involve building something that, powered only by gravity, will be rolled down a ramp to test survivability and travel distance.
Speed build is a race to build the same item from the same parts in the shortest amount of time.
Master Build is a judged contest to see how well a builder can represent a given theme where all participants build from the same set of parts in a set amount of time.
Dirty Brickster is a prize exchange game (white elephant type - open or steal!)
Draft is an event where everyone brings one copy of the same (unopened) set. We open the sets, sort the parts into piles and take turns Drafting piles of parts.
There are also impromptu games, competitions and other activities. Join in or start your own!
